Artist Residency

Facilities

The artist in residence will be invited to live and work in the home and studio of sculptor J.B. Blunk.

The house and studio were built by Blunk in the late 1950s with salvaged materials and are delicate and idiosyncratic structures. Sensitivity while living and working on site is essential. Upon arriving at the Residency there will be a thorough introduction on how to use and live in the house and studio.

HOUSE
The house has a full kitchen, a bathroom, a composting privy and a wood burning fireplace. Firewood, bedding and towels are provided. There is electricity, a telephone and high-speed internet.

STUDIO
The studio has a fireplace and basic tools (hammers, nails, a drill, screws, saws, measuring tapes, pencils, sandpaper, scratch paper) Each artist is responsible for bringing any other tools or materials they may need to work with.

There are also three outdoor clearings to work in and a partially enclosed wood shop.
